Leaving STAHS means joining our global alumni community of nearly 3,000 former students - a diverse, talented and dynamic group of women who together share the unique experience of studying at the High School.
Our alumni community is here to support you as you take your next steps beyond STAHS.
As you know, the Sixth Form team at STAHS support many former students in reapplication to university, so if you need specific support about an application, do not hesitate to contact Mrs Monighan in the first instance.
If you are still making decisions about university destination or course, please contact us as we may be able to help put you in touch with an alumna who could share their experiences with you.
Update your university information
If you go on to further study, please update your profile on the alumni portal so we know where you are studying and your course. We may contact you to ask if you'd mind sharing your university experience with future Sixth Formers.
And please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing - we love to hear from our recent leavers!
Being a STAHS alumna means you have unique access to our STAHS careers network. Many alumni have volunteered to share tips about their career - how to join their industry, what qualifications you need, and the inside track on their day-to-day role. Search for alumni in a specific industry through our careers network, or contact us and we can help put you in touch with an alumna with relevant experience.
We hold regular careers talks for alumni, inviting some of our talented and experienced former students to discuss their careers and share their experiences, as well as industry-specific dinners. Join the alumni portal to update your contact details and ensure you receive your invitations these events. If you missed any of our recent careers talks, you can watch them in our Video Library.
We recommend you join our LinkedIn page to connect with over 800 alumni in a wide variety of fascinating careers, and hear about the latest careers news and events.
We know one of the most important aspects of school life is lifelong friendships, and we want to help you stay connected with each other.
Recent leavers' reunion
We usually hold a Christmas drinks reunion six months after you leave Year 13, generally in a St Albans pub. We will let you know what the plans are for your event in December 2021 as soon as we are able to.
Old Girls Association (OGA)
The OGA Committee represents all former students and meets three times a year to help advise us on alumni activities. Every year we hold the OGA annual reunion to which all alumni are invited. The event enables you to come back to School with your friends, re-visit old haunts and look round new school buildings. If you'd like to stay involved, there is also the opportunity to join the OGA Committee.
Year group reunions
We organise year group reunions for milestone anniversary years. We are also happy to help organise an ad-hoc reunion if you and a group of your friends are keen. Please contact us to discuss plans.
