STAHS has a history of alumni, former staff and parents generously giving to the School, supporting both current and future pupils.
By giving a financial gift, you will make a key difference to pupils. Whether that's supporting our Bursary Fund to allow ambitious, talented and motivated individuals to benefit from the opportunities that a STAHS education can provide or giving to our Future Fund, to help develop the School site and facilities.
By giving your time and sharing your expertise, you can help pupils understand more about the careers and higher education opportunities available to them by giving a webinar or talk, featuring on an alumni profile poster or volunteering as a careers mentor.
We want to provide as many full bursary awards as possible, ensuring that ambitious, talented and motivated individuals, for whom an independent education would otherwise be impossible, can benefit from the wonderful opportunities that a STAHS education can provide.
We want these girls to experience all that STAHS has to offer: the challenge and reward of learning in a fast-paced, academically ambitious school, the warmth and welcome offered by the friendly and inclusive STAHS community, access to an amazing array of co-curricular and super-curricular opportunities and the lifelong support offered through our impressive alumni network.
We want them to benefit from the full STAHS experience, educating them to become happy and confident adults and preparing them to lead lives of consequence.
However, this is really about the individual. The girls who apply for bursaries with us are academically excellent and would do well at any school.
But with us, they could soar.
We want to ensure that STAHS continues to be a place where students can learn, experiment and explore, with first-class facilities, resources and buildings that reflect our high-quality teaching.
The STAHS Future Fund is focused on pupils and their day-to-day experiences. Our rotating projects will ensure that your support is felt immediately.
Our current projects are the creation of our new Student Hub using the old dentist's building at 9 Townsend Avenue and the development of digital, searchable school archives.
If you would like to discuss any of these projects further, or there is a particular area you would like your donation to support, please contact Louise Barnes, Development Manager.
A key area where alumni provide invaluable support to students is through talking to them about their career or higher education choice, helping provide an insight into the broad range of careers available to students and to demystify what a typical day looks like.
Approximately every fortnight in term-time, we invite an alum to talk to students about their career in a webinar which usually runs over the School's lunchbreak (1 pm to 1.40 pm), allowing time for any questions before pupils return to their lessons.
Alumni also support students through a range of larger careers events throughout the year, often for specific year groups or particular career or industry areas.
If you can support STAHS by talking to pupils about your industry, degree or career path, please contact us.
