Support the STAHS Community
STAHS has a history of alumnae, former staff and parents generously giving their support to the school, enabling it to continue to be a vibrant and flourishing place of learning.
You can support us by giving your time and expertise - speaking to pupils at careers events - or by giving financially to the school, assisting with key fundraising projects...
Our next careers/ HE events where we're looking for support are below.
We run careers lunches throughout the year for students from all years to attend. These are to help provide an insight into the range of careers available and help to demystify what a typical day looks like and what A Levels/ degree might be required to enter different fields. These usually start at 1pm and end at 1.30pm, allowing time for any questions before pupils return to their lessons.
We also offer these as webinars - which have been particularly successful and appreciated during lockdown - and so would welcome alumni speakers from all over the world, who are keen to share insights into their careers and higher education choices.
If you would be interested in supporting us, please email email@example.com. We would be delighted to welcome you back!
What are we fundraising for?
Our fundraising initiatives
In 2019/20 114 pupils received some sort of bursary support, and 83 of these received an annual bursary. Of these 83 students, 45% received bursaries worth 100% of fees. But we want to offer more.
We want to provide as many full bursary awards as possible, ensuring that bright, talented individuals, for whom an independent education would otherwise be impossible, can benefit from the wonderful opportunities that a STAHS education can provide. Our comprehensive support package not only covers up to 100% of fees, but can also help with uniform, transport and lunch costs.
This is really about the individual. The girls who apply for bursaries with us are academically excellent and would do well at any school. But with us they could soar.
We want to ensure that we continue to equip pupils at STAHS with the skills, knowledge and expertise to prepare them for a diverse range of global career opportunities: some of which may not yet exist.
We want to ensure that STAHS continues to be a place where students can learn, experiment and explore, with first-class facilities, resources and buildings that reflect our high-quality teaching.
Your support will enable us to purchase additional equipment that our pupils, and our partnership schools, can benefit from: whether this is the latest iSandBOX technology to support geography teaching, a Scientist in Residence or kitting out the new flexible classrooms currently under construction.
