On a very hot day on 23rd May, we welcomed back 130 alumni from the Classes of 1976, 1986, 1996, 2006, 2016 and 2021 to mark their milestone anniversaries since leaving STAHS. The sun was once again shining for this event, and we were delighted to have the highest turnout since we began holding this event five years ago.
In addition to our alumni guests, we were joined by two STAHS babies, both aged 4 months and perfectly behaved reunion guests! We were also joined by a number of former teachers, all of whom taught here for at least twenty years very much enjoyed catching up with their old pupils.
Alumni arrived to enjoy a reception full of fizz, emotional reunions with old friends and reminisences of school days past. We were then joined for talks from the Head of STAHS Senior, Ann Massey, who shared her views about how impressed she has been by our pupils after recently completing her first year here. Mrs Massey's talk was followed by our recently appoointed Head of School, Naintara and our deputy Head of School, Tanya, who talked about life as a pupil at the school today.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch sitting with friends from their year group, before having their Class photos taken outside in the sunshine.
Tours of the school followed, taking in relatively new buildings such as the Sixth Form Centre and Dining Room, and also revisiting old haunts in the Main Building, Library, Science labs and The Patch.
Guests finished the day with tea and cake before heading off, many leaving in groups to continue the celebrations into the evening!
All the photos from the day can be viewed here.
