It was wonderful to welcome back nearly 50 alumni and former staff to our OWLs Lunch held at the Senior School on Thursday 16 March 2023, for alumni and staff age 55 and upwards. One of the highest attended events we have held for this group, it was great to see so many familiar faces attending again, in addition to welcoming some alumni to the event who hadn't been back to School for almost 60 years.

After catching up over coffee and perusing the extensive display of STAHS archive material on show, guests were treated to an amazing piano performance by Year 12 student Daria, who joined the school from Ukraine in September 2022.

Guests then enjoyed a delicious spread of buffet food for lunch, after which two Year 8 pupils, Sophie and Juliet, shared their personal experiences of studying at STAHS and were able to update guests on House competition and most importantly, who's currently at the top of the leader board!

This was followed by a speech by Head, Amber Waite, who outlined her ambitious vision for the future of the School and how STAHS endeavours to provide students with an education that goes far beyond their time at school.

Tours of the Senior School took place after lunch, with many guests commenting how interesting it was to see the School as large swathes of the site have changed over the last 20 years due to extensive development and refurbishment. The day finished with a last catch up with friends over tea and homemake cake.

It was particularly wonderful to welcome back a group of nine ladies from Class 6G, who had left the school around 1955 - and thank you to alumna Diana McKenzie who had organised this group.  It was also lovely to see alumna Barbara Butters, who left the school an amazing 70 years ago!

Some photos from the day can be found in the gallery below.
