There was a wonderful sense of nostalgia in the air as we welcomed back 18 alumni from the Class of 1989 for a special reunion tour.
As we wandered through the corridors together, it quickly became clear that while nearly 40 years have passed, the memories remain as vivid as ever. The tour was filled with laughter, as stories emerged from every corner of the school. We particularly loved hearing tales of the freezing outdoor swimming pool, science experiments that didn’t quite go to plan, and memories of being marched to the The Headmistress office, Miss Diggory for a telling off. Each story sparked another, creating a joyful atmosphere that transported everyone back to their school days.
Watching former classmates embrace one another after so many years was incredibly moving and a wonderful reminder of the friendships forged during their time at school. There was so much warmth, laughter, and genuine affection in every conversation.
Just as inspiring was hearing about the lives these remarkable women have built since leaving school and the many accomplishments they have achieved in their careers, families, and communities. It was a privilege to get to know them beyond their school memories and to hear about the journeys they have taken over the past four decades.
Meeting this accomplished and engaging group of alumni filled us with an immense sense of pride. We are grateful that they returned to share their memories with us, and it was an honour to spend time and celebrate their lasting connection to our school community.
